Belara BH: Facing Attack From Vampire Bats Every Night !!!
One very serious problem with Belara BH is to find dead birds (about 2 a day) without their head.
I have to admit that this is something new to me but I know before this there were two cases in Kuala Berang and Lenggong BHs.
The dead birds will either be with no head on only their wings left on the floor.
The culprit have to do with Vampire bats:
They will enter the Belara BH at about 8:30 pm and attack a few birds and will leave shortly.
They will continue to attack until all your birds are gone.
This morning received a message from a hardware shop owner to met his client specializing in revamping BHs.
He claimed that he was revamping this BH which used to have 1000 nests and now left only 30 nests due to attack by vampire bats.
This news is not very encouraging and something have to be done to prevent this predators from harassing your BH.
The only solution that works so far is the autogate system.
A BH owner from Kuala Berang said that after the gate installation the number of attacks reduced and not no more.
Have a look at some pictures taken at Belara BH.
