"Harry I got this special idea which can draw those birds to where ever you placed them. What you need are the following. Three raw nests, distilled water, some bottles with caps, a roll of string and some screws."
First you soak the three nests inside a container. Use normal distilled water. The next morning you blend them up so that you get a kind of sludge. You then transfer the sludge into a bigger container and add more distilled water. 1.5 liters of distilled water is good enough. You let the sludge ferment for about one week.
When they start smelling "good" (only swiftlet farmer will say so) you then get ready to transfer to your BH.
While waiting for the raw nest to ferment get ready some bottles with their cap. Open the cap and poke some small holes in them. The hole is for those gas generated by the nest water to flow out.
You then get some string to hang the bottle to the nesting plank. Prior to hanging please fill the bottles with those one week old soaked nests. Put some nest meat into each bottle. Three nests can get about 20 bottles.
I have used this technique many times and it works."
Well those were the precise words from a long time friend who was so excited to know that I was the Harry Kok whom he met about 5 years ago.
He owned at least three successful BHs with 7 -10 kg a months and managed to help not less then 100 BH owners so far. No longer need to work according to him.
I was very impressed with his new idea and method of attracting swiftlet into new BHs.
Today managed to hang some bottles with fermented raw nests. I did the trial in a BH which I finished revamp works this evening.
It was a three solid days works and now the BH is really a BH. Prior to this it was a chicken den. The owner was so happy with the efforts I put into his BH and now wanted me to continue with another unit. This was his SMS message just received:
"Mr. Harry thanks a lot for the activation of my sick BH in Ayer Hitam. Next, please help to make my Batu Pahat BH increase in the nest numbers. The local council is very strict and no sound pollution please."
I hope it works and you should consider this idea if you happened to own a BH with little nests in them.
Just have a look at my version of the Hanging Perfume !!!
According to the talented friend of mine the birds will build their nest on the nesting plank just above the cap.
The reason being the smell of the fermented raw nests will ooze out of those tiny holes.
After about two to three months you can replace the raw nest water with a new preparation.
The cost is minimum and it seem to work well in Kedah and Penang.
If you wish to know more just call 017 755 1318.
This new idea is for you to try out. There is no guarantee that it will work but who cares. The cost to prepare this new found idea is so little and there is no harm to try out.
I just hope this shared idea is appreciated by all those who read this article.
Let me know if it works in your BH.
