What So Special About Using Soundless Fine Mists Humidifiers !!!!

I have been receiving so many emails, SMSs and phone calls asking me more information about the soundless Ultrasonic Humidifier.

Some wanted to know more about the price, some about where to purchase, how to install and the best what are their benefits.

I might be wrong but to me this gadget will one day replace the use of those chicken coop blue colored humidifier and those piping with nozzles on the wall will be things of the past.

Let us look at their benefits:

1) Soundless.

This is the core issue. The unit uses no motor or fans to create those water droplets.

The chicken coop humidifier uses a motor to rotate a fan to create those mists.

The wall piping uses a motor to provide the water head to push those water towards the nozzles and once they passed the nozzle they will become a kind of water mist.

In the case of ultrasonic mist maker their method is more like using a piece of ceramic plate that vibrate at a very high speed to cause the water molecule to change into a very fine mist. There is no sound coming from gadget.

2) Very Fine Mists.

The size of those water mist generated by the ultrasonic unit is so fine that they are more like those clouds when you are at Genting Highland.

The size are so small that they can be easily evaporated in the air as long as the heat in the surrounding can vaporise them.

Due to the very fine size they are more easily evaporated as compared to those water mist generated by those nozzles or the chicken coop humidifier.

These fine mist not only will cool the BH much faster but it also trap all flying dust in the air.

3) Produce Better Quality Raw Nests.

This is something that the importer tried to impress on me, many many times.

According to him those fine mist will limit dust in the air.

With little dust your nests will be cleaned and crystal white.

He posted to me the two pictures showing before and after.

Before The Installation:

After The Installation:

The value of these white nests can be as high as 1,200/kg extra as compared to normal BH using those chicken coop humidifiers.

4) Minimise Air Breeze In Your BH.

One big advantage of using the new generation humidifier is the minimum amount of breeze it produces.

Using the old chicken coop humidifier causes strong air blast created by the blower fan powered by an electrical motor.

This air breeze carry the water droplets upward and usually after some period of time the nesting planks located just above will be empty of any nests. More often there will be fungal grwoth on them.

The high velocity wind created tends to cause a kind of danger to those baby birds. If these young birds are exposed to heavy air blast they tend to die. This might be a good reason why those birds avoid building their nest just above the humidifier.

5) Light Weight.

Most BHs are located on the upper most floor of shop house. Some can be as high as four to five floors high.

Just imagine carrying a humidifier that weight 30 kilograms up and down for repairs.

The ultrasonic is less then a kilogram in weight.

5) DIY repair works.

If your ultrasonic humidifier breaks down they are mainly due to those ceramic plate and their microchip plates. These can be easily available and you may replace by DIY.

The cost of these simple spare parts will not harm your pocket.

Just imagine if your chicken coop motor being burned? You need to actually take a very heavy works to replace those motors. They are not easy.

6) Automatic shut off relays.

The ultrasonic humidifier comes with a special water level detection. If you BH is short of water supply the gadget will switch off by itself.

This will prevent the standard damages on those ceramic plates.

In the case of chicken coop humidifier, if you keep running the motor without any water in the basin, the motor will be easily burn down. Your damage will be substantial.

All the above information were provided by the importer and I just record them on my blog so that my blog reader will think carefully before switching to this new Gadget.

Price varies from at low as 380 rm per unit to 330 rm subject to the number of units perchased.

Mist Fogger Have Many Uses !!!

I was talking to some one the other day about mist fogger/maker and he exposed some interesting comments.

"Harry do you know that the humidifier manufactured my Nest tech deploy two of the mist makers and a small blower?"

Hmm ..... a very interesting information and I am sure you are as surprised as I am.

Since I have never open the said humidifier I reserve my comment.

What I am pointing out to you all is that these mist makers can be useful to your BHs if you know how to use them.

By accident some one is using it as a humidifier.

I am sure there are many other ways in using these mist makers beside as aroma deployment and humidifier.

Maybe for cooling in the entrance areas.

No Matter Who Advise You, Never Run The Humidifier for 24 Hours A Day !!!

While on the way back to KL I stop by in Ipoh to meet Mr.L.

He wanted me to help to set his sound system to play my "Black Cloud". At the same time wanted me to have a look at his 4 stories BH in Ipoh main town.

After looking at his sound system I told him that I need to do some magic. What I need was to visit an electrical shop to purchase some gadget to get those sound operated.

Bought a few things and came back to fix the amplifiers plus those tweeters in a programmed format.

Downloaded an additional sound and after every thing was set I started the tuning.

Upon playing my " Black Cloud" plus some tweaking, those birds were attacking the tweeters. Not many as aspect but I told him to be patience.

The come the moment of truth. When the clock struck 7.00pm those birds started rushing from a few directions and some passes Mr.L BH.

I told him to blast the sound much higher volume and by doing so those birds do change their flight path. Some move direct into Mr.L BH.

We went to dinner, tauge chicken, and noddle. Very tasty and nice.

I told him that I forgot a very important gadget. After my dinner he took me back to the BH and he invited me to take a look at inside the BH.

I told him that I do wish to see during day time but in this case I was okay.

The moment we entered, the floor was wet and I suspect it must have been the pool leaking.

Nope, there was nothing wrong with the pool but it seem that he was running the humidifier on a 24 hours mode.

His Sifu told him it was okay.

What was the sifu thinking? The whole floor was flooded and those water were sipping downstairs. Some of those nesting planks were affected.

He quickly shut the humidifier down and I told him that he need to dry the water first thing tomorrow morning.

The morale of this story is that never ever run your humidifier for 24 hours. You will actually flood your BH.

Go and slap your sifu and tell him that was a gift from Harry for being so stupid. I told Mr.L.

Three Into One BH AirCool Gadget Called CoolFan !!!

If your BH is constantly facing high temperature problem, that is nothing unusual.

Currently the hot spell is making live difficult not only to us but also our BH.

During my trip to Alor Star, Kedah, I was introduced to a beautiful gadget (CoolFan) that served as follows:

1) To cool down the temperature in your BH.

2) To humidify your BH.

3) To blow those eroma into the house.

The unit is a DIY item that is very simple to make but you need to assemble using the followings:

a) A plactic container ( 1.5 feet X 2 feet X 3 feet high) with tight cap.

b) An exhaust fan.

c) A mini water pump

d) A piece of plastic wool (plastic wool used to filter your house water tank or pond).

e) Some plastic mesh to cover the air exit hole and to hold the plastic wool where the fan will blow.

f) A plastic tray to cover the exhaust fan blade.

g) Water float valve (like your toiler bowl float valve system).

Basically once you assemble the system you pipe in water from the storage tank into the plastic container.

The plastic wool is dipped at one of its end and due to capillary action will move the water upward. The exahust fan will blow onto the wool and the air after passing a wet piece of wool will be filled with those cool water.

U can also place a container of aroma laced chemical, example feace powder, at the back of the contained where the air intake takes place. With this configuration you actually put three into one actions. The aroma blower, a cooler and a humidifier.

The designer is currently looking at placing a cooling plate(chilled water from your fridge) that can cool the water to 8*C. If that happen you actually can control your room temperture to what you desired. U need to watch out your monthly electricity bill (warning).

Each floor you may install about two units.

Currently the cost is about RM 550 excluding delivery.

Interesting and who say that you cannot control your BH room temperature????
