Belara BH: Ready To Go !!!

The floors were cleaned.

The old tweeters were removed and all the planks were wiped and cleaned.

Ready to begin the real operation.

This coming week the real revamp operation will be done.

First thing to do will be enlarging the main entrance window.  Currently the only window is too small.  My intention is to enlarged it to about 3 feet wide by 4 feet tall.  This will make it easier for those birds to dive in from a sharper angle.

Once that is done I will get my worker to open a new window facing the East.  The morning light will be useful to help those tenants to find their way out early every morning.  This might be a good way to get new birds to stay at the lowest floor.

The new window will be about 1.5 feet wide by perhaps 1 feet high.  It will be protected with some sharp wires in case those owl might enter the BH using this new window.

One very important installations among the many will be the mist spray system for all the three floors.  I have chosen to install a set of water pump with 15 nozzles on each floor.  This will be a better solution as compared to using those chicken coop humidifiers or those ultrasonic mist makers.  The floor will be free from any obstacles which will be of great help during maintenance operation or during nest harvesting.

One big idea which I planned to install will be those cross woods.  My plan now is to order about 600 feet of nesting planks and these planks shall be used to increase the number of nesting areas.  Beside nesting areas I am looking at adding at least 400 new corners.  These new corners will be for those new birds.

Once the cross woods are done, I will start the installation of new internal sound tweeters.  I am looking at installing about 400 pieces.  They will be strategically installed and this time I planned to arrange these tweeters to play two internal sounds.

The next important thing to install will be those fake nests.  I am looking at installing a total of 800 fake nests mainly on the ground and the middle floors.  The top floors will be lesser in quantity.

The current LAL placements are not proper.  Those birds need a new LAL hole to enter the lowest floor.  My plan is to wrack the floor opened and create an easy flying down path.  The new LAL will be on the highest floor nearest to the money house area.

This BH also need a proper external sound system.  At the moment the only tweeters playing external sound are two piece of Piezo tweeters found only at the main entrance hole.  Not a single external sound tweeters are installed inside the nesting room or the LAL hole.

On the rooftop I plan to install a hexagonal tweeter and this tweeter will be accompanied with two mini bazooka tweeters at the main entrance hole.  We a looking at getting more attention of those wild birds flying at all those four sides and higher up in the sky.

Once completed this BH will have two external sounds and two internal sounds.  This newly installed sound systems will make the BH very attractive as compared to what it is running with now.

I planned to make the BH dark and wet.  Right now it is too bright and too dry.

There will be a few partition walls.

The top two floors will be kept moist or damp while the ground floor will be a bit soggy.

The only way to enter this BH from then on is to wear a pair of rubber boots.

All 90* corners with nest markings or with nests will be installed with a special gadget to discourage the old tenants to use the same spot.  They will be push to the side(s) of their favorite corner.

I am looking at doubling the nests number within 8-10 months.

It will be more interesting if the nests number triple within that 8-10 months.

I hope the BH owner will engaged my service to maintain the BH for at least one year.
