Swiftlet Translocation Service Provider In The Making !!!

"Pak Harry due to the wrong location of my BH I need your advise on any other ways to increase my BH nests population?"

This was the exact wording that came out from one of my blog reader who happened to meet me for lunch.

"Are you really serious or you are just pulling my leg?" I asked him for his confirmation.

"Pak Harry I am dead serious." that was his answer.

Okay let me give you this simple idea. Why don't you start using the trans-location technique?

All you need to do is to breed those wild birds and release them into your BH on the 43rd day of their life.

Before doing that you need to look into how to breed their food. The best will be those young crickets and those white ants young queen and king. Maybe you might want to also look at those meal worms. There are many other food types and you need to look around for the most readily available and easy to breed.

Once you have mastered on how to cultivate these insects (food) then you need to look at getting those swiftlet eggs suppliers and the right incubators.

Employ a permanent staff to carry out the routine job to hatch those eggs and start feeding them with those insects and water. Use those fake nests to house them when they are young.

Make sure you label their date of birth.

Once you they are 43 days old you can start planning to release them into your BH.

The best is to let them hang closed to those birds in your BH. Perhaps on the 45th day they will be able to follow the permanent birds out.

This method is called trans-location and if you can get 10% of the total to stay you are safe.

The biggest problem will be to raise them until the 43rd day.

They are not easy to look after in the beginning but once you can master the art you can decrease their death rate.

I think if you do can carry out this technique you can start your own business in helping others who are facing a similar BH empty syndrome. Well if you can produce, let say 500 young babies a month, you use some but to maintain your overhead cost sell some.  I think you can easily sell these young babies at around RM 20 to RM30 each.

If you sell say 200, there will be a good source of income of at least RM 4,000 to cover the cost to maintain your staff and utility bills. The rest of the birds, 300, you can release them into your own BH.

Beside maximizing the population growth you also can benefit from selling the young birds, their bird shit, the cricket & meal worm (sell some to those pet shop) and so on.

If you have a number of dead young birds, say 25%, you can actually turn them into BH aroma.  Just think carefully on what I have said and I am sure you are scratching just the surface of a big business opportunity.

Remember, if you can get just 10% of the 300 to stay every month, that will be at least 30 new tenants.  Within 12 months you can have at least 360 new tenants.

I can help to locate a few of those BH owners who are facing the same problem. If they are keen then we try to sign a long term contract to help them to use the Translocation Technique to populate their BH.

Just tell me who will ever say no?????

Hmmm ..... he seem to capture the idea solidly and told me that it is a beautiful idea and will give a special thought to it tonight.

Well it is a choice that will benefit you and those who are facing similar problems.

There is nothing new about this trans-location technique. In Sabah the Ketua Pengarah of Perhilitan confirmed that the technique works for his own BHs.

In our neighboring countries this method is normal, I stressed to him. If you happened to walk in Surabaya,Indonesia, for example, you can see some peddlers who sells young birds at street corners. Whether they are swiftlet or not I am not sure.

Well let me wait and see what will be his next action.

In the event he said yes then I can use his service to supply those young birds to a few of my blog readers who happened to be in the same boat.
