Are there any effects if you remove those bird shits on the floors???
Assuming that you operate your new BH for almost one year and have about 100 nests.
There are lots of bird shits on the floor generated both by the parent and baby birds breeding in the house.
Is it advisable to clean up the floor and will they affect the birds?
My answer is be very vary careful and if you can try not to take those bird shits out of the BH.
The reason being, I was informed by a few BH owners, there will be a sudden drop of birds population if you remove those bird shits.
There is no specific explanations that we can find anywhere at the moment but we have to base on reports that indicated that the number of birds drop reasonably.
This behavior is the opposite when your BH is being burglarised. The number of nests will surged after the nests being forced harvested by those intruders. We still do not understand the exact reasons why !!!
Recently while visiting the Sungai Rambai twin BHs, I was told by the supervisor of the complex that the birds population have dropped drastically after they remove those bird shits on the BH floors.
This reduction causes the owner to be very worried and now wanting to modify the whole house.
He should reapplied those Bird shit back into the house.
So if you wanted to clean the floors think twice or perhaps try to remove only on one specific floor and monitor the birds population.
Do not remove those Bird shit yet but keep them inside those bags and put them on the other floors.
If the number of birds drops it is advisable to return them to the floor.
