The Monsoon Buster Entrance Hole Design !!!
If your BH is located in an area that have monsoon period of more then 3-4 months, how can you design the right entrance hole?
Monsoon season is when the high wind from the sea hit the land mass at a high speed. In Peninsular Malaysia it normally occurs between November to January.
It not only brings in high wind but also lots of rain.
I was shown to a BH with a special monkey house that have two entrances each unit are not in communicating with each other.
The rough sketch of this special monkey house looks like the sketch.
"Pak Harry during normal days most of these birds will enter the one facing the east but during monsoon time they will fly in using the west entrance hole."
The owner installed two CCTV cameras to proof his findings.
This could be one of the special reason why his BH can have 700 nests within the first 12 months.
I am just sharing this special finding and if you have similar kind of hihg monsoon wind you need to provide a proper alternative for your tenant to enter their house safely.
Remember these wild birds cannot effort to be injured at all course. Once injured they do not stand a chance to be alive.
