My Figs Trees Nursery Is Doing Okay !!!

Last few months I have been receiving a number of phone calls asking for those young figs trees.

It seems that the demand is up and I did not have time to get them up.

In KK I have delivered some cut branches with young shoots to a green finger who runs a nursery for his Church.

I delivered about 20 branches and he claimed to have all of the 20 grown up to 1 foot now.

He promised to send some pictures and now wanted to be my figs trees agent for Sabah.

He is a true green finger guy.  Smart and good in looking after potted plants.

In Kuala Lumpur I recently got myself busy in cutting those figs tree branches and get them into a container to activate them to grow roots and young shoots.

What I did was to cut about 50 pieces of 8 inches long stick like and put them into a container.

I then will pour plain water to the brim and soak them for 24 hours.

While waiting for them to be ready I went around to search for those bamboo trees.

What I wanted was those dry bamboo leaves.

Once those sticks were ready I will remove the water and take them out to dry.

Now I will prepare the container with a layer of those dry bamboo leaves about half an inch thick.

Once this leaves layer is set I will sprinkle some plain water and organized a layer of those figs tree stick.  I will cover them with another layer of bamboo leave about the same thickness , half an inch.

I will then put another layer of sticks on them and so on.

Once they are set the top layer will be covered again with the bamboo leaves.

Before keeping the box aside I will spray some plain water on the leaves.

After three weeks I can see that they have started to generate those roots and shoots.

How marvellous can it be.

I am just a genius and now turning into a figs tree planter.

To think about it, you can now propagate any tree including durian musang king, rambutan budak sekolah and etc using this technique.

What do you think?

Enjoy some of the pictures taken to proof that I am not kidding:
