How Much Do U think Birdhouse Farming Helps Our Economy?

Have U ever being ask with this question before?

" How much do U think Birdnest Ranching have help the Malaysian Economy plus how have it help the Malaysian?"

Ten years ago, Birdnest ranching was never in the Malaysian vocabulary. Now there are at least 30,000 birdhouses in Malaysia.

Every shoplot owners are thinking of going into this lucarative business that promise a fortune. In Sungai Patani, nearly all abandoned shophouses are turning into birdnest ranching. First one unit then the neighbours and then it spread like fire across the town.

I personally have observed the transformation from a single unit to nearly 90% of an abandon project becoming a birdhouse ranching. What makes me more amused is that those additional land that were left idle are now with signs of building activities.

Yes, new shoplots are sprucing on idle land just beside the so call abandoned shoplots. All these new shop lots were being snap up by birdnest enthusiasts like buying Mac Donald Burger.

Price is no longer an issue and this strange activities will of course help those developers in launching more new shoplot projects.

I came to understand now with this new phenomena, more developer are buying stranded shoplots projects and converting them to high demand birdnest houses which are ready with all the required features to attract wild swiftlets to nest in the units.

Each 2 stories unit can easily be sold at RM350,000 with no question ask.

Sungai Patani now have at least 800 units of birdhouses in town and its vacinity (according to my SPSifu).

Manjong, Perak now have a total of 5,000 birdhouses and growing every week. This is the single largest colonisation by wild swiftlets in the whole of Peninsular Malaysia.

Can U imagine what will happen 10 years from now?

Why are we having so many people turning their shop lots to birdnest farming?

There must be a reason and I am sure U know what I have in mind.

The biggest set back that I predict will happenned is that when more and more shoplots are converted to birdhouses, there will no longer any shops that will sell your phone top ups, sundry shops, mamak shop and etc. If U need these things U need to visit those big supermarkets.

What if there is no supermarket in the affected township?

There will be lesser job opportunities since businessmen prefer to do lesser job and let their tenant (wild Swiftlets) works their butt to produce those "White Gold"?

Just think a second and imagine a town deserted by human but colonised by swiftlets.......
