The First BH Made Of Zinc Plates In Johore !!!
These two pictures was given to me by one of my blog readers hailed from Sungai Renggit, Johore.
Sungai Renggit is more like the "Land Ends" of Peninsular Malaysia.
The uniqueness about the pictures provided are:
1) The BH was made by a simple extension to an old house.
2) The external covers were all made of recycled zinc sheets.
3) You can see that the entrance hole seem to me similar to those "Kangaroo Pouch" type. Those birds with enter the extended opening and enter a door leading into the nesting room.
4) The BH was said to be producing about 1.5 kg a month after operating for about 2.5 years.
5) The owner have replaced the house with the cement BH recently.
According to the owner of this pictures, it inspired him to be a successful BH owner. He managed to visit the BH just before it was taken down.
I find it very interesting how how innovative some people are.
At the same time we wonder how come those birds still come in and stayed. Would it be very hot?
Hmmm....Maybe the owner do insulate the BH properly.
Well there will be another article on a simple BH in Johore....
