Yesterday morning I was with a blog reader who recently acquired an aroma from me and secretly applied the aroma to two of his BHs.
The two BHs were located in the same shop rows, about 6 units apart, but the result was not the same.
The unit which was closer to a successful BH did pretty well with many new bird shit spots on the floor while the other show no result.
"Harry what do you think went wrong?"
Without having a chance to evaluate the two sites, I told him that there might be hundreds of reasons.
The one closer to the successful BH, just one wall away, seem to be the best since there are always birds flying above the rooftop. The other unit which is 6 units away, about 120 feet away (6 X 20' wide), have little number of birds flying above the roof top. This can be something that we should be careful about.
If you want to built a new BH choose a place that is as near as possible to the most successful BH in the area. Six units away might not be a good choice.
What about the flight path?
Maybe the second unit is located away from the flight path? You might want to do some viewing in the evening. Just check which direction those birds are flying from? Are they coming from left to right or right to left to the successful BH?
Well may be you application methods was different?
Also your BH designs are not the same. The one that give good result is with good flight path design while the other is not suitable.
What I suggested to him was to focus on the one that is doing well. This time go on a larger aroma application scale. Have a larger volume then before and slowly move to a maximum quantity.
As for the unsuccessful unit, I told him to re look at the design of the entrance hole and its roving areas.
Keep trying and use the aroma a bit more.
If the result is still not there, sell the unit and move to a new unit on the other side of the row.
