Bird Houses Burglary Is Rampaign In Trengganu !!!
I got two calls, both from Trengganu, talking about their BHs being burglarised.
The first was from Kuala Trengganu, Trengganu.
"Pak Harry, we are facing BH burglary very strongly in Kuala Trengganu. Many BHs were being attacked recently and we have very little ways to protect our BHs."
"To all salt to the injury is when we report to the Police. You know how they comfort you when you are so pissed off? Ala Encik, ini Tuhan kasi (god gift). Now he takes it away from you !!!"
"That is not the way they should reply. They should be more serious on the matter and give us the assurance that they will do something to catch these burglars."
In Kuala Berang, one of my blog reader send an SMS message: "Urgent need your Black Cloud sound quickly. My BH being burglarised and they took away everything inclusive of the amplifiers and the BC."
I am amused with this event. They don't only sneak in for the nests but also your amplifiers and your good sound.
In Kota Baru town while visiting the Olympic Lane BH I met a Malay guy hagging around the corner of the BHs rows and I asked him why he was there?
"Uncle, I am being employed to work from 8pm till morning looking after these BHs."
It seem that these BHs owners set up a body to employ a full time 'Jaga' to look after their property day and night.
For those who have a stand alone BH, it might be advisable to place a family or a jaga on a full time on your land. You might want the jaga to have a couple of dogs that can provide alarm if there is any burglars entering the BH fenced areas.
I also have seen most of those BHs being burglarised got to the extreme. They fence up their rooftop with bard wires and electric fence. You can clearly see those big signs "Warning: High Voltage".
In Bentong, Pahang, these owners change their roof top from tiles into cement layer forming the shape of those original roof. Well they do make sense but I think that might not be the right way. The roof looks so awful and local council will not be happy with that kind of solution.
My advise to all BH owners is to be careful at all time but you might want to go for something heavy once your BH is heavily occupied. If you BH is new, protect your amplifiers and good sounds first.
Maybe you should visit any professional security guard companies in your area. See if they can package something that might be cost effective and reduce the chances of burglary in your BH(s).
