You Know What? I Wrote a Short Note to Dato Seri Najib !!!

You might think that I am joking but I just did.

I think all of you out there should follow my footsteps.

Just think if we do not tell him then who is going to?

Do you think those People who massacre those birds will help? Do you think those Vice Chancellors of all the higher institution will help? Do you think all those MPs that you crossed recently will help?

My advise to all is to just shoot a note so that he will listen to our plight.

Ask him to set up a proper training center for swiftlet farmers. Perhaps set up a research center on how to get the best aroma or the best sound or the cheapest BH for all Malaysian.

Maybe he should allocate more fund to help this special Nilai Tinggi Industry.

I am asking 500 million at least. If possible 1 billion. for his coming budget speech.

What about putting a long term plans on how to be the greatest producers of swiftlet nests?

Maybe Malaysia to be the best producers of super white colored nests?

Maybe he should turn Sarawak into the biggest producers of raw nests?

I don't care if he read or not but I think he will.

If you wanted to write to him use this email address: najib@1malaysia.com.my

This was what I wrote to him:

Dato,

Congratulation for being very dynamic and bold in running this Multiracial country.

It is a very difficult task especially now with the strong opposition plus the
world turmoil in financial and weather.

As a Malaysian citizen I have been playing my part in helping many country men in this Pertanian Nilai Tinggi (Swiftlet Farming).

I remembered during both your first speeches when you were elected as the UMNO President and The Prime Minister. In both speeches you did mentioned about your encouragement and commitments in promoting this Nilai Tingi Agro business.

This new field is contributing about 1.5 billion ringgit to our country yearly and growing at about 10 to 15 % every year.

Since more then 90% are mainly for export market, we gained a lot in foreign exchange.

The sad thing is that there is no special effort being put in place to encourage this God gift business.

There should be a proper short term and long term plans to be the number two world producer and our product the best quality. Let the world know that our bird nests are far superior then any other country.

At this juncture, there is no proper guidelines to follow. Nearly all local councils are still in the dark how to issue those licence.

There is no strategies to be the top world producers.

There is no fund allocated to promote this business.

You should allocate at least 500 - 1 billion ringgit to those who qualify. Get those banks to provide the fund.

Minimum requirement is a piece of unused land at the back of their house.

Since you don't want them to convert those shop in town to become BHs then why don't you let those land owners to get their land be converted into swiftlet eco farm?

There is no research in finding the best BH design or smallest size or cheapest cost or to turn the nest from brownish to super white or into red color.

Not one higher institution are creating any department to study this special Nilai Tinggi Product.

Why must it be only 1.5 billion a year? Why can't we look at 10 billion a year?

You should get those Chief Ministers of Sarawak and Sabah to let their states be the biggest producers in the world. They have vast agricultural land and forest that provide lots of food for these wild birds.

The irony now is that we have so many so called guidelines and so many Government Department trying to flex their muscles. What they are doing now is to halt the progress of this Nilai Tinggi sector with every thing that they have and no one is trying to assist these so call illegal farmers to be successful

Dato this industry have a very huge potential but until today no one from those Government department know how to make any new farmers successful.

If they introduce new technologies for Padi farming, palm oil plantation, fish breeding, goats breeding, chicken rearing, burung puyuh, cili, terong, bawang, coco and so forth why can't someone help the swiftlet industry.

The success rate is still very low (20 -25%) and the rest failed. You know why? They are doing by trial and error. There is no school or university providing any courses about swiftlet farming methods.

Most of them are at the mercy of those so called "consultant" who themselves are not sure what they are doing.

Dato, I hope you will do something for the sake of this highly specialised agro business and keep those words that you want Nilai Tinggi business must be promoted.

I am one of those who failed to be a successful swiftlet farmer (at the beginning) but I now helps many new comers in contributing my findings via a dedicated blog on swiftlet farming.

Every morning I will write something on how to be a successful Birdhouse Owners and I am sure many who read my blog have benefited from those findings.

Salam Hormat dari saya and selamat hari raya aidil fitri.

Harry

Keep on writing to him or keep on knocking, I am sure he will hear. 037
