This was something new that I saw in a newly constructed BH in Setiawan, Perak.
The owner indicated that he uses the same method in another BH of his and they works well.
His idea was that those netting gives the birds an easier ability to hang onto.
He might be right and due to that they will stick around to built their nests.
How about soaking those plastic mesh with some aroma?
A very innovative idea from someone who have more then 13 BHs.
Nothing wrong to try this idea. If it works then you are lucky but if it didn't you loose nothing more then those plastic netting.
Remember I have not seen the effectiveness of this method of luring birds to build their nests but you never know.
