The last time I was home there were only three birdhouses around mine. Now it is becoming very crowded with three new units just infront of my backdoor BH entrance.
Getting pretty crowded but may be better for all. The reason being the more the better it will be for those who are knowledgable as compared to those who leae it to god.
The missing front roller been replaced.
Got my caretaker to install a CCTV, one camera only.
It is fantastic. Can see those birds flying in and out all day long.
I need to get a counter to manually check the number of birds entering from 6 to 8 pm.
Maybe need two counters. One coming in and one leaving.
Applied those love portions and splashed some duck eggs white with birdshits on the wall.
Hmm I wonder if it will work.
Will still be in Spatani until temorrow everning before leaving for Ipoh. Planned to be in Setiawan on Sartuday Morning.

do you think luck is very important for BH investment? i saw a lot of failed BH, is that mean they are no luck?

Luck is something that is important to a BH venture. However you cannot depend on luck. I strongly believed that U need to be strong in your knowledge about swiftlet, their behaviours, their likes and dislikes, the way they nest, the way their baby grows and etc.
Once to know deeper about them then your will tend to be closer to those luck.
Most BH failed because the investor have very little knowledge about swiftlet and they let those "Sifu" to do everything until it is too late.
U can try this.
Meet the owner of a failed BH and interview him about how he got into the venture. How much knowledge he has before going in and did his sifu says that everything will be alright after 12 months?
I can bet with you their story lines will be the same. They do not have any knowledge about it and they believed in their sifu to deliver the house.
These sifu will take the empty house keys and renovate the house on their own. He did not participate in the construction. He was not allowed to enter the house for 12 months. He was expecting the house to be full of birds after 12 months.
The moment of truth comes when the keys were hand over to him after the 12 month period.
When he open the house door, you will see the horor on his face.
Oh my god, where are the nests? Only 12 nests ah? Ay ya, I spend close to 100K and this is what I got?
Well the blame is on him and not the sifu so much. He assumed that his BH will be full of birds and never bother to take any part in ensuring that the BH will be properly taken care.
I totally agree with Harry. If all the basics are done correctly and there are still no or little birds, then luck comes into play. There must be a reason for every failure !
