Quickly Erect A Sun Protection Shield !!!

On Saturday April 2nd, 2011 I was engaged by a BH owner whose BH was on a piece of agricultural land surrounded by padi fields.

His main concerned was why those birds are not staying after more then three months into operation.

"Pak Harry, I need your help to visit my BH and let me know what to improve since those birds are shying away from the BH."

This newly build BH have this wrongly angled syndrome.  The two big walls were facing the east and the west.  The morning sun will be shinning on the east facing wall and by noon it will hit the one facing the west.

You can imagine the amount of heat accumulated by the morning and evening sun.

The only sensible way to cut the heating effect is to erect a suitable barrier to block the sun from shinning onto the BH walls.

If the owner can use those zinc with poly shield materials placed about 10" to 12 inches away from the two walls I assured him that the overall temperature will dipped by at least 2-3 *C.

Right now the temperature is exceeding 30*C on the top most floor.

Beside the two side walls he need to come out with a proper roof to protect the top ceiling facing the noon sun.

His next problem was the internal features.  The top floor was a bit too bright while the lowest was too dark.

The birds will avoid staying at the bottom since the entrance hole is facing the north.  The morning light will take longer time to shine into the house.  This will cause those birds not willing to venture to the lowest floor. Their preferred choice will be the middle or the top floor.

Another interesting observation was the shit spot concentration. Nearly all the cluster tweeters (four tweeters at one spot) seems to have larger sized bird shit spots below them.

I was telling him why don't he increase the number of there cluster tweeters?

There was also a very clear indication that below those external sound tweeters there were also lots of bird shit.  I advised him to try those chandeliers and kite tweeters installation.  The two shall be connected to the external sound wires.

The amplifiers settings were not proper.  This can be a strong sign that the consultant was not a true consultant but more like a building contractor turned himself to be a BH consultant.

Limited in knowledge but wanted to try out his luck.

The owner was right for wanting someone else to check his BH so that those errors were detected and quickly arrested.
