Uruguay Great Architect: Just Imagine If Our Swiftlet Nests Looks Like This !!!
I discovered this power point slides about a special bird in Uruguay, South America.
The owner of an apartment captured these pictures and turned it into a slide presentation.
The bird is called "Hornero" and use clay or soil to erect their nest at the widow frame.
A very rare pictures and I love to share it with my blog readers.
Just imagine if all the nest is made of saliva !!!
One thing for sure is that the male can only have his sexual intercourse only when the nest is about to be ready.
See this picture and when he was given the chance to have a dogie.
It happened only when the house is just about to be ready.
This is because once the eggs inside her is fertilized she has about 8 days to lay it. (This is based of swiftlet).
This I would say a kind of reward after a hard work.
He started it and she will help once the nest is semi ready.
A very interesting happening in nature.
You might want to relate this nest building to your swiftlet nest building.
