Part 2: Something Very Smart On How To Lure Those 'Girls' !!!!

(Triangular shape fake nest made of Styrofoam)

I don't know how to describe about this very very strange and interesting phenomena.

This is about how a male swiftlet lured his female companion to copulate by cheated her to the maximum degree.

I believed these swiftlet are as intelligent as we are.

They can become very innovative when they wanted to have sex fast.

This strange story was related to me by a BH owner who recently started to install Styrofoam fake nests inside his BHs.

He have never used it before but after meeting me he now used Styrofoam to the max.

His main intention was to prove my idea that fake nests combined with super pheromone will work wonders in all his BH.

I described to him the various shapes that he can do and soon after he started to install in a few of his BHs.

He did spray all of them with my Super Pheromone.

During my recent meeting with him he told me something interesting.

He was referring to this strange behavior of a young couple that adopted one of the fake nest.

This particular nest he was referring to was the triangular shape fake nest.

What happen here was that during his second visit to the BH he saw the birds dig into the surface of the Styrofoam surface turning the flat surface into a kind of shallow hole.

At first he did not understand why they did a shallow hole so he just let it be.

The next visit he was surprised that there was an egg inside it.

Bloody hell how come they never use their saliva at all and only the shallow hole?

He could not believed that these swiftlet are so lazy to spit their saliva but use this new technique which we have never seen before.

After the next visit he saw that they have laid two eggs and there were signs of saliva around the edge of the styrofoam.

He could not understand the basis of this whole incident and wanted my opinion.

Well what I described to him was something like this:

When a male bird wanted to get his female partner to make love he need to provide her the confident that a nest is ready.

The female bird will only allow him to make love to her if she is confident enough that after he fertilized her egg she will need a place to lay her two eggs.

If he can proved to her that the place to lay her eggs is ready she will allow him to copulate.

This is where this particular male swiftlet make a dash to get a nest ready.  He must be a new young bird with very little saliva.

So to cheat his spouse he dig the Styrofoam and make her feel comfortable with the shallow hole.

The female bird accepted his offer and they proceeded with their love act.

Within eight day she laid her first egg and the second a day after.

In the meantime his saliva gland is still not matured enough.

She must be the person who laid those saliva at the edge.

He did the shallow hole.

I hope the above explaination is interesting and right.

If I am wrong please tell me what is your opinion?
