Today during lunch with Mr.R and wife, I was very touched over their sad stories about their effort to raise baby swiftlets.
After a few short weeks of painstaking effort to feed those young birds, they grew and grew.
Feed them with various insects and they really grow fast. They will fly all over their heads and shirts and behave just like babies.
It seem that they eat and eat until two days before they took their flight.
They will stop eating to reduce their body weight and when that was reached they will take the final flight and never to be seen again.
Until today Mr.R's wife is sadden with the lost of their beloved birds.
I am glad to know this special couple who took lots of effort to breed these wild birds. The point here is that they were successful in breeding but never have any chances of tasting their nests.
To those who wish to breed swiftlets, you might want to meet Mr.R for his advise. His mobile phone number: 0164512025
